Sammy Sosa Armour Hot Dogs brings
this baseball great to bat at our studios When we were
told that Sammy Sosa would be coming, everyone wanted to get into the act. We
couldn’t have a large crowd at the studio, though, since Mr. Sosa had a
10-person entourage. He came in to
sing the “Armour Hot Dog” song in Spanish for Armour’s Hispanic advertising
campaign. After a few takes and a great editing job by John Friesen, we gave
our client exactly what they needed. Sorry folks, no autographed baseballs
(but we did get this great picture). The Macerich Company With
Westcor support, Spectrum makes the conference shine The Macerich Company, the new parent company of Westcor,
held its bi-annual conference at the Westin Kierland. As corporate events go,
this was quite elaborate. From the general sessions with two screens and
multiple presentations, to the eight breakout rooms with their own audio
recordings, Spectrum made this conference of 500+ look easy. The highlight
video that was shot over the course of the conference and shown at the close
really wrapped up the event. “You and your team did a great job,” said
Charles Waldron, Senior Vice President of Property Management. El Chupacabra Ken goes on the air to
discuss the mysterious creature of Puerto Rico Jeff
Rence, a national radio talk-show host, recently invited Ken Liljegren on his
program to discuss his experiences with the paranormal. Ken had been on
location to Puerto Rico to investigate the strange phenomenon of the El
Chupacabra. “One day I was on location with police and staff; the next at
Telemundo editing footage the news team had gathered,” said Ken. We finally
ended up in some of the most dangerous caves in Puerto Rico, along with
forces from civil defense.” Though El Chupacabra was not sighted on this
trip, something odd is definitely going on. You can see a trailer of the Three Steps Beyond trilogy at www.adventuresbeyond.com for more
details. __________________________________________________________________________ E! Television Spectrum gets up early
to help out Howard Stern Spectrum was called on short notice to
provide a video-taped segment for the Howard Stern show on E! Television. The
“King of all Media” was interviewing adult star Jenna Jameson by phone, and
wanted simultaneous video for the television show later. Since Stern is in
New York City, and his show starts at 6:30am EST, our crew had to be at
Jenna’s place at 2:30am Phoenix time for setup. Just another instance of
going that extra mile for our customers. And the view wasn’t bad, either. |

Next month, we’ll tell you about how well Ellison Media and TriVita are doing with their latest program, as well as an upstart Valley firm that is getting out the media blitz for their CD protection encoding.
