Gilbert Commons A film look, without the cost. |
| The Shoppes at Gilbert Commons, a Donahue Schriber development, wanted to highlight several stores at the center so they asked Spectrum to get involved. Selecting to shoot the 30-second spot in 24p gave the commercial a film look without the expense of shooting in film. Working with Audrie Yokota, Spectrum took the lead on this by writing, directing, producing, casting and editing. With four actors, a dog and its handler, the team had its hands full. With cameraman Alex Mitchell using a skateboard dolly and track, expert lighting by Mike Hall and Craig Fleming filling in where needed, the crew was first rate! Spectrum is also in the script development stage for an upcoming Anaheim Hills, Calif. commercial. |

Bestway Inflatables Bestway Returns from China for 2 Shoots. |
| Bestway International was so pleased with the job the Spectrum crew did for them last summer, they returned in December for a shoot and just wrapped up another. Jared Goldberg of Bestway continues to make the trip from China to work with Ken and his team. In December, it was a half-day, on-location shoot of Bestway’s inflatable spas for an instructional video on how to put the spa together. Spectrum not only shot and lit the piece, they also hired the talent. While the talent had the luxury of soaking in the spa, the biggest challenge of the day was keeping them warm between takes. Jared returned this spring to shoot inflatable rafts and pools. |

The all-day shoot at the Tolleson plant included a SteadiCam, jib and lipstick cam showing the bread making process. The host was shot in the Spectrum studio with a projected set. The edit incorporated historic photos of Holsum and its founders – the Eiseles. Holsum president, Ed Eisele, has been getting rave reviews of the piece. |
