The Pointe Hilton Resorts knew that Spectrum Video & Film was the best place to go for its

high-end, in-room amenities videos for its Squaw Peak and Tapatio Cliffs properties. The Spectrum team worked closely with Randy Ortiz, Director of Advertising, on the five-day, on-location shoot, which highlighted resort offerings including dining, spa treatments and golf. The 10-member crew

provided Jib, track and dolly and even helicopter aerial shots. The two seven-minute videos went from script to playing in guest rooms in just two weeks.

Hot off the success of The Shoppes at Gilbert

Commons commercial, shopping center developer Donahue Schriber sent Spectrum to California to produce a 30-second spot for Anaheim Hills. With client Audrey Yokota leading the way, the Spectrum crew spent a day scouting the location and a day shooting. Spectrum wrote, produced, directed and edited the commercial, which will air in the Anaheim area. With Spectrum producer Dave Ammons also pulling on-camera talent duty and John Friesen

directing, the team was able to stay right on

schedule. Cameraman Alex Mitchell and lighting expert Mike Hall rounded out the team.

Anaheim Hills Promoting Its Shops

Holsum Bakery wanted to get the message across to employees that having safety protocols in place at its facilities is similar to safety drills on a naval air carrier. To do this, Holsum president Ed Eisele had Spectrum edit existing footage of the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk with his opening statement shot in the studio. With music helping set the mood, this is an

interesting way to get the message out to hundreds of employees.

Gina Jones from JonesMedia came to Spectrum to

produce two, 15-second commercials for its client,

1-800-No-Agent, a real estate company. Justin Nirk took the Spectrum-written script and edited still photos with music and voice over from a talent in Houston. The commercials are currently airing in the Phoenix area.

With a 10-foot video wall at its District Stage,

Desert Ridge Marketplace has the perfect place to advertise its upcoming events and retailer

messages. And now, Spectrum Video is managing the graphics from the Spectrum office through a

virtual private network. This remote access allows

Desert Ridge Lights Up The Stage

Working with Aunt Chilada’s, Alliance Beverage Co. and the Phoenix Firefighters Fund, Spectrum Video got in the Cinco de Mayo spirit last May and

created a promotional video of the event. With the annual event literally at its doorstep, a two-man Spectrum crew spent the evening capturing the

flavor of the event and conducting interviews with guests and vendors. The marketing video promotes the benefit of beverage suppliers working with

business owners to create successful events.

More Than A Party

After the success of the Cinco de Mayo video,

Alliance Beverage Co. was eager to have Spectrum help sell the idea of working on events with large Hispanic audiences. Gordie Mackenzie, Vice

President of trade development for Alliance

Beverage Co., contacted Spectrum to promote the Crown Royal brand at the Dual in the Desert boxing event at Celebrity Theater in July. On-camera talent Elvia Amaro conducted interviews of Crown Royal, Celebrity Theater and Dual in the Desert personnel. The short video will be shown to executives at the Alliance Beverage national office.

Fellow Barter Group of Scottsdale member Arizona Color Promotions knows the importance of

self-promotion so they brought in Spectrum to

create their marketing video. This five-minute

company overview gives prospective customers insight into the company’s services including

vehicle graphics, sign and banner printing and

promotional items. Dave Ammons worked closely with President Jim McClure on the script that

provided for a one-day shoot and a one-day

time-lapse of a vehicle wrap.

John Michael Montgomery and Mark Chesnut were on stage July 3 at Gila River Casino: Wild Horse Pass, and Spectrum Video had the pleasure of

projecting the concert for P2 Events. With a packed crowd, it’s important that everyone at the venue can see the action on stage. Spectrum provided that with two 9.5x12 rear projection screens and a

two-camera live-switch image magnification. The three-member crew helped keep the crowd on its feet.

Goes Country

Westcor has had several projects keeping

Spectrum busy over the last few months including the creation of a Style Panel marketing video. The video was used to show Macerich shopping centers around the country the benefits of incorporating a style panel in their marketing plans. The Westcor Style panel is a group of experts that provide

advice to the media and shoppers.

Anyone who has been to the movies lately knows that the pre-movie advertisements are getting more elaborate. Superstition Springs Center, Metrocenter and Paradise Valley Mall have all called on

Spectrum to provide animation of their theater

advertising, providing a little extra pop to their

message.

Keeping Spectrum Busy

E! Television has called on Spectrum twice in

recent months to tape segments for upcoming shows.

Spectrum sent a two-man crew to tape interviews with Ice T’s mother-in-law Tina and sister-in-law Kristy for a show on hip hop wives. The show will feature Ice T’s wife Coco. The shoot took place at Tina’s Gilbert home with an E! producer meeting the crew on location.

Last spring, at E! Television’s request, Spectrum had producer Dee Ann Kinkade on site at Sun Devil Stadium to interview David Spade, Rob Schneider, Jon Heder and John Lovitz for their press junket for the comedy “The Benchwarmers.”
